Civic leadership and engagement is a continual commitment to the progress and wellness of our communities. Yet, it’s not uncommon for our individual mental health and wellness to be neglected or challenged while taking civic action. But does it need to be this way? And how do we sustain ourselves while trying to serve others?
In celebration of May’s Mental Health Awareness month, we want to affirm the importance of civic leaders stewarding their mental health as they persist in their pursuits for advocacy and equity.
Join LEE for “Balancing Acts: Mental Health and Civic Engagement”, a discussion on how to mitigate and manage personal mental well-being while civically engaged.
The 75-minute virtual session will occur on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 at 5PM-6:15PM CST/ 6PM – 7:15PM EST. Members in attendance will be given strategies by a licensed mental health practitioner to aid in the elevation of self-confidence and sustainability of positive individual mental health outcomes.
