Climate change is a global experience that has an impact on communities inside and outside of classrooms. K-12 education can play an influential role in creating more awareness and action towards involvement in climate justice that incorporates students, families, and community leaders.
Join LEE as we host Planet Ed to lead “From Classrooms to Climate Action”, a workshop focused on a blueprint that school system leaders and elected leaders can follow to make progress toward becoming a climate ready school.
This 60-minute virtual session will occur on Tuesday, October 22nd at 12PM CST/ 1PM EST. Members in attendance will be introduced to a climate justice and frameworks for K-12 classrooms that encourage creative action towards this intersectional experience. Additionally, members will have an opportunity to hear from a school board LEE member who has led their district in sustainability efforts.
