About the Course

 

Introduction to Policy & Advocacy Careers is an interactive virtual course that provides practical insight into fields of policy and advocacy work. You’ll learn about different roles and organizations, reflect on your own goals and interests, and gain key tools to navigate your local landscape.

In this course you will:

  1. Understand the varied roles and organizations that comprise the fields of policy and advocacy
  2. Describe the general types of policy and advocacy roles and identify the type of role you may wish to pursue
  3. Build the foundational skill of mapping your local policy landscape
  4. Possess the insight and resources to job shadow a person in a policy or advocacy role of interest
