Nora Antoine, Sicangu Lakota/PhD (she/her/winyan)

Nora is the Director of Regional Impact for South Dakota. As a member of a tiospaye (large family), Nora works in service of her Lakota community and region towards equity. Nora knows that affirming Native identity is a critical component in educational equity and is a mechanism to strengthen educational outcomes for all students. From a broader perspective she supports and utilizing her regional connections and relationships to support members throughout the state.

4Rosebud addresses inequity by working for and alongside community & educational leaders, students and families to change and strengthen policies for students and their families. 4Rosebud’s issues include strengthening Lakota language, history & culture, parent engagement, mental health support in schools, voter engagement, and Tribal & overall civic education.
