The Metro Atlanta region of Georgia is multi-faceted in that it encompasses the City of Atlanta, along with five surrounding counties and the smaller towns and municipalities that exist within. LEE members are serving in influential roles at the state and local level in the legislature, on boards of education and on city councils. In this region, we are committed to working with our members and partners to increase equity by advocating with the people who work and live here. Through skill-building opportunities, networking events, and leadership development support, we guide you towards achieving the impact you want to make in Metro Atlanta through your work in policy, advocacy, community organizing, or as an elected leader.

Jemila is the Director of Regional Impact for Atlanta. She entered the teaching world to explore her passion for empowering children to have agency over their learning. Following this, Jemila shifted to political action, organizing and training those often marginalized from politics to lead and run effective campaigns nationwide. Jemila seeks to use her education network, training background, and campaign experience to prepare LEE members to excel in and elevate their leadership within Atlanta.
