The “Bayou City” is known as a hub committed to equity and innovation due to its diversity, vast economy, and several notable institutions such as the Texas Medical Center and NASA’s Johnson Space Center. In this region, we are committed to working with our members and partners to increase equity by advocating with the people who work and live here. Through skill-building opportunities, networking events, and leadership development support, we guide you towards achieving the impact you want to make in Houston through your work in policy, advocacy, community organizing, or as an elected leader.

Belinda Moreira – (she/her/ella)

Belinda Moreira is the Director of Regional Impact for Houston. A first-generation Latina and former high school English teacher, she is deeply committed to social justice, educational equity, and community empowerment. With extensive experience in community engagement, coalition building, and leadership development, she partners with schools, nonprofits, and local organizations to advance equity-driven initiatives. A proud daughter of immigrants and first-generation college graduate, Belinda is passionate about supporting leaders and creating spaces where diverse voices can thrive.
