Before transitioning into a policy or advocacy career it is important to understand how public policy decisions are made, how the process may not match expectations, and how that gap in expectations can potentially lead to frustration and even burnout. You will learn to effectively navigate the phases of the New Employee Process: Initiation, Transition, Adaptation, as well as strategies to build resilience as you settle into your new role. You’ll also have opportunities to process and reflect on the concepts, and share your takeaways with course instructors and other LEE members.
