Interested in pursuing an appointment on a policy board or commission? We are here to help! 

Through this course, you will have the opportunity to find out about various types of appointed policy roles, explore an appointed role, and get support from a coach (including feedback on your resume and “why” statement). You will also have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a LEE coach once you have identified a role that you will be applying to!

Estimated Completion Time: 3-5 hours, spread over a few days.

Equity-minded LEE members seeking to grow their leadership and impact by pursuing an appointed role on a government board or commission.

What to Expect

• Work through ALL sections and complete the self-paced course (3-5 hours, total)
• Learn about and explore appointed policy roles
• Gain insight and guidance on navigating the appointment application and interview process
• Receive resources and coaching support, including feedback on your resume and your “why” statement
• Get connected to a coach for one-on-one support once you have identified an appointed policy role that you will be applying to in the next few months
