As we close out another transformative year, it’s time to reflect on the remarkable journey we've all shared together as an organization. 2024 has been a time of new beginnings, both in our personal and collective missions. It’s a year where our commitment to advancing equity and fostering civic leadership has reached new heights, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our members, supporters, and our LEE staff.
In this moment of reflection, we express our deepest gratitude for the commitment of every LEE member, staff member, coach, and partner who has made this year possible. You’ve shown what it means to be a leader, and together, we’ve taken one step closer to creating lasting change.
In 2024, we’ve witnessed some of our most impactful programs and events—opportunities that continue to advance LEE’s mission of equity. From leadership development workshops to community-building events, these initiatives have provided critical platforms for people to step up, learn, and grow as change-makers.
Members engaged with 1:1 career and leadership coaching opportunities nearly 8,000 times in 2024. Additionally, members took advantage of skill-building and leadership-development support over 7,500 times. These supports included national workshops, online learning modules, local events, multi-day programs and more.
2024 has also been a year of growth and community engagement. We welcomed new members, forged valuable partnerships, and introduced several new programs that have helped expand our reach and impact.
In just the past year, we’ve seen an incredible 25% increase in new member registrations from December 2023. Of these new members, 68% of them were touted to be highly engaging within their first year of membership as they registered for workshops, events, 1:1 coaching, and more. These new members bring fresh perspectives, energy, and ideas that will propel equity forward in the future.
This year has also been marked by our members’ elected leadership efforts and their resulting social impact. The election cycle in 2024 was pivotal, with over 300 LEE members running for office!
Of those members, roughly 67% of them won their office and 51% of them were first-time runners who went on to win their candidacy.
This was also a tremendous election season for Black women in our LEE network. They had a nearly 80% campaign success rate for their offices.
Overall, this translates to hundreds of newly-elected members who are now on their way to drive a powerful wave of change with their unique story.
Our impact in 2024 is clear. Every step taken, every vote cast, and every policy pushed forward represents a victory not just for our members but for communities everywhere striving for equity and fairness.
As we reflect on this year’s accomplishments, we cannot forget the invaluable role our coaches have played. Their guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support have been a cornerstone of our success. LEE coaches have provided essential leadership development to thousands over the years, helping them navigate the challenges of civic leadership and emerge stronger, more effective, and more resilient.
With nearly 700 members coached so far and 404 members moving into new roles from coaching efforts this year, we know the impact is profound.
We are endlessly grateful for their dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

This year, we reignited our LEE podcast, The Leaders’ Table, and we have had the pleasure of chatting with a bevy of LEE members who are doing incredible things in their communities.
