This Women's History Month, we're inspired by the women who have historically impacted educational equity through their leadership. We're even more motivated by the stories of the women leaders of today who are championing equity for children everywhere. LEE member Lorena Chavez is one of those women. Growing up, she never felt worthy of opportunities like going to college. However, through the support of key people and organizations in her life, she was able to not just realize her dream of attending college, but become a leader for her community as the elected Board President of East Side Union High School District's Board of Trustees.
