Why I’m a LEE Ambassador
I am interested in the Alumni Ambassador role because I intend to work as a lobbyist before running for public positions like City Council and eventually becoming Atlanta’s mayor. I aspire to be an elected official who can be relied upon to do everything in my power to positively impact the lives of those who feel undervalued. Giving back to the community, particularly the Black community, is how I intend to fulfill my role.
Advocacy, in my opinion, is the key to advancement. My ambition to become a politician who fervently supports the Black community combines my desire to speak up for those who are not heard. Successful people should aim to help others and give back to the community.
After I graduate from Morehouse and start working, I plan to devote time to activism and systemic change centered on economic development and education. By focusing on issues that community members experience and trying to find solutions, I hope to use my entrepreneurial goals to promote a stronger and more cohesive community.
My experience from internships with the City of Atlanta under Mayor Andre Dickens and the United States Senate under Senator Raphael Warnock has provided me with valuable insights and confidence that I am the correct fit for this role.
