Why I’m a LEE Ambassador

As a student deeply engaged in leadership, advocacy, and community building, I am eager to serve as an Alumni Ambassador to foster meaningful connections between GW alumni and current students. My experiences as Director of Advocacy for the Black Student Union, Vice President of Marketing for the Black Women’s Forum, and Chair of Technology for the Mu Beta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta have honed my ability to engage diverse communities, manage outreach efforts, and create impactful programming. Through my roles, I have developed strong communication, event planning, and social media skills, which I would leverage to enhance alumni engagement. Additionally, my background in political science and socio-cultural anthropology has instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives, making me an effective bridge between alumni and the university. I am passionate about mentorship and ensuring that students, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds, have access to guidance and opportunities. Serving as an Alumni Ambassador would allow me to continue building an inclusive and supportive alumni network that strengthens our GW community.
